The lock of my new apartment opens backwards. I know this before I reach the door but still get stuck. Habits of hands know otherwise to conscious mental process. 

A PDF, ‘Off_season_photocollection’ contains images and annotations. It’s dated ‘06.07.17’. I understand this as July 7th 2017. In the UK date formats are written DD.MM.YY. In the US the standard is MM.DD.YY. After working in an office I started saving files in the format YY.MM.DD. This little technique synchronizes staff with work protocols and computer filing systems. Office filing isn’t so useful now but habit sticks. 

A folding samsung cell phone left at 259 Malcolm X Blvd, New York 11233 is sent via USPS onto 3012 South Archer Avenue, Chicago, IL 60608 to arrive before an AMTRAK train leaves to Los Angeles. The phone clasps a card advertising palm reading, which was slipped into advertising space on an MTA J train. A line of text reads "No Life Without Problems, No Problem Without Solution". Railways, postal services and telecommunications infrastructures, distribute, order, and transmit energies, materials and knowledge. Specific forms of communication infrastructure mold and accelerate territories, polities and commensurate forms of work in specific ways. This is hard to see.
